1978Sisters lived in a house named as St. Thomas Convent in Fatima Nagar , Tiruchy.
5 JULY 1978Sr. Thana Packia Nirmala joined the Congregation.
11 FEB 1978Bishop Thomas Fernando prepared the first ‘Rules and Regulations’ for the new  Catechetical Sisters of St.Thomas: “To do specific work at specific times and places”.
03 JULY 1980The first vows of the first three Sisters were given on the Feast day of the Congregation.

24 APR 1995Capuchin Fathers  took charge of the “Catechetical Sisters of St.Thomas”
24 APR 1995The Congregation was renamed as The Congregation of  “The Franciscan Sisters of St. Thomas”
25 SEP 1995The Congregation got its own identity and Recognition as the Franciscan Sisters of St.Thomas(Religious Institute Diocesan Right- Franciscan Order)
1995-1996Rev. Fr. Clarence OFM Cap was appointed as the Director
AUGUST 1996The Society was canonically erected as “Society of  Franciscan Sisters of  St.Thomas”  with obligations to the Evangelical counsels.
1996-1997Rev. Fr. Joanathan OFM Cap., took charge as the Director
1997-1998Rev. Fr. Wenceslaus took charge as the Director.
1995- 1998Rev. Sr. Fatima Mary again appointed  as the Third Superior General.
25 May 1998First General Election held at Fathima Nagar, Generalate: Sr. Viakulamary as the fourth Superior General and the Councillors took charge for of the Administration.

2 OCT 2016Our Congregation spreads beyond India, the Diocese of Iglesias in Italy, a new convent was set up for our new mission,  The first two Indian Sisters Sr. Mary Preethi and Sr. Pravina Mary were sent and  received their mission mandate. This community was closed on 05 May 2023.
